- $15,000 investment by the Federal Government
Michael Sukkar, Federal Member for Deakin, met with representatives from the Norwood Junior Football and Cricket Club last week to inspect the site for the new electronic scoreboard at Mullum Mullum Reserve in Ringwood.
Mr Sukkar said the new scoreboard was a part of the broader range of works happening at the ground, including, improvements to the ground surface and surrounds.
“The scoreboard at the bottom oval of Mullum Mullum Reserve, where the Norwood Junior’s play, has served the clubs well but is in pretty rough shape,” Mr Sukkar commented.
“A new scoreboard will really enhance the experience for players and spectators alike.
“This is just one part of a number of other improvements happening at the ground.”
Norwood Junior Football Club President, Brad O’Brien said: “The kids are ecstatic about the improvements and are all eager to see their scores lit up on the big screen.”
