Congratulatory Messages
Deakin constituents who are celebrating a special birthday or wedding anniversary can receive personal congratulations from Michael, Prime Minister, Governor-General and/ or The King.
This table summarises which birthdays and anniversaries messages can be sent for and by whom:

| The King | 100th and every fifth year thereafter | 60th and every fifth year thereafter |
Messages can be requested by a family member or a friend by contacting Michael’s office via email Michael.Sukkar.MP@aph.gov.au or by calling (03) 9874 1711.
Messages can be requested up to two months before the birthday or anniversary and belated messages can be requested up to one month after the birthday or anniversary has passed.
Where appropriate, requests will be forwarded to the Prime Minister, the Governor-General and/or The King so you only have to make one application.
Requests must be accompanied by supporting documentation, i.e. a birth certificate or marriage certificate, or a statutory declaration.
Messages can be delivered directly to the recipient or to another address for surprises.
