2024 Deakin Christmas Giving Tree
For many years, our community has shown the best spirit of Christmas by donating to the Deakin Christmas Giving Tree and supporting locals in need.
I am again asking local residents, community groups and businesses to support the Christmas Giving Tree by donating non-perishable food items including Christmas puddings and cakes, along with vouchers, children’s toys and other essentials such as new clothing, blankets and toiletries.
This year the Deakin Christmas Giving Tree will provide much-needed support to local families through Hope City Mission, Croydon.
We are very fortunate this year to have a head start on donations thanks to the tremendous generosity of Kate and Scott Mitchell, and Bernie Wood at Product Management Group, who have very kindly provided all of the toys in this photo.
Donations can be dropped off at my office in Mitcham, Bendigo Bank in Croydon and Bendigo Bank in Ringwood East starting Monday 18 November until Wednesday 18 December.
