Redeveloping Eastmont Pre-School

• $80,000 in funding for the redevelopment of the facilities at Eastmont Pre‑School in Vermont.
• A new kinder room will allow more places for local families, and an outdoor lighting system will improve safety at night for community groups and staff.

Federal Member for Deakin, Michael Sukkar, has announced today that a re-elected Coalition Government will provide $80,000 towards the redevelopment of the facilities at Eastmont Pre-School in Vermont.

Mr Sukkar thanked the committee for its tireless advocacy for these much-needed facilities at the pre-school. The funding will contribute to the construction of a second kinder room as well as a new outdoor security system to ensure the safety of community groups and staff that utilise the facility after hours.

“Ensuring a safe and engaging space for children to learn and play is critical for developing minds and I am proud to have secured this funding commitment in support of the pre‑school”.

The Director of Eastmont Pre-School, Sonya Skok, said this funding will allow us to accommodate more children with a second kinder room and reduce the number of families on our waiting list.
