LABOR’S PRE-ELECTION NDIS LIES EXPOSED
The Coalition notes the outcome of today’s National Cabinet meeting where two stunning admissions emerged.
The Labor Party has confirmed their pre-election lies, when they claimed in the lead up to the May 2022 election that the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) had no sustainability issues.
Bill Shorten went to the election telling anyone who would listen that the NDIS had no sustainability issues and that plans would not go backwards while he was Minister.
Today’s announcement from Anthony Albanese represents a complete reversal, highlighting Labor’s cynical and dishonest Opposition while the Coalition was in Government.
In addition, Labor’s rush to score a cheap political win and have the scheme running before the 2013 election has seen botched funding agreements with the states escalating the federal government contribution to maintaining the scheme.
NDIS participants are some of the most vulnerable people in our community, and with almost 200 Australians signing up to the Scheme each day, participants and their families deserve honesty and transparency from this Labor Government.
The Coalition will continue to closely monitor NDIS announcements and consider any proposals with caution and proper consultation when they are brought forward by Labor.
